Some came from stories older than the country itself. Some were cursed. Some were damned. Some were simply human, but lived long enough to become something else.
Eventually, some of them stopped travelling.
They became the flower seller who has worked the same corner for generations. The old sheriff nobody remembers being elected. The diner owner who knows every crew that has passed through town. The woman who has lived in the same boarding house for two hundred years.
In the America of the 1930s they live quietly alongside ordinary towns, rails and roads.
They are The Hidden.
Some remained. Some never left. Others simply found no reason to go further.
And some still travel between towns, carrying rumours, obligations and old stories across America.
